for the River Rats. He was impressed by Mickey pitches and wondered if he would be interested to join the team. He still had no idea that he had autism. Mr. Tussler was very skeptical about the idea he did not think it was a good idea for Mickey. Coach Murphy left his a card in case he changed his mind. Mrs. Tussler liked the idea but had little say in it. Mickey’s parents both live in the farm and raise Mickey together. Mr. Tussler is strict and likes stability and routine, Mrs. Tussler is more open minded and is understanding. Mickey ends up going to play baseball with coach Murphy, the baseball team accepts him instantly. Until he gets to pitch in a game and Lefty the main pitcher for the River Rats gets mad. Mickey gets overwhelm by the crowd cheering that he cannot concentrate well. But still manages to pitch well. Lefty gets jealous that Mickey is taking his place and does not like it at all. He begins to sabotage him by pinning his shoes with nails to a bench and beating him ...
