Another instance where Twain satirizes the misuse of Christian values is the idea of anti superstition. Christianity takes a dim view of superstition. However, the two main characters of the book are both superstitious. Huck and Jim are both held up to be respected and emulated. By Twain making them superstitious, superstition is therefore honored and something to emulate.
