If we did not elect educated officials to our government, our government would be corrupt and ran for politicians personal wants. Everyone needs education but the people who need it most are the one's leading others. You don't want to have to listen to an idiot tell you what to do when you know what's right.
Omar Khayyam taught us about morals and how we all need them. Without morals, all we would have to guide our lives are the laws made by the government. It seems like we have a lot of laws but if we took away all the morals there would be a lot more problems in our country. Morals fill the gap in our lives and are what teaches us right from wrong. There are a lot of things that laws do not cover so it is important that we have morals. Everyone lives by their own set of morals but if we had none, there would be a lot more bad things happening.
