Introduction
The purpose of this paper is to introduce, discuss, and analyze the book "Kiss of the Spider Woman," by Manuel Puig. Specifically, it will analyze two key passages and their contrasting styles, descriptive method, character presentation and a range of other aspects. The two passages chosen are pivotal to the book because they come at a time when the reader needs information, and because one of them fleshes out the characters. The writing style of this novel is choppy and unusual, and both these passages show that. They are different in style, but both move the book along to its inevitable conclusion.
