Analysis of the Human-Animal Relationship


This essay proposes that companion animals have a calculable benefit to humans on a diverse scale.

The study focuses on a three-tiered beneficial affect; highlighting how individuals benefit from companion animals, how the community can benefit from people owning pets and how potential human-animal relationships promote economic growth and their considerable use as method of providing assistance in both domestic and foreign security of Australian assets.

This paper addresses the modern suggestion; that Australia, economically, has much to gain by further determining the special economic value of those animals which we do not consume as commodity; by either eating the animal itself or produce from the animal, but, with whom we tend to surround ourselves in public and private; that is, the animals found in our homes. Discussion and conclusion suggest that society ought to embrace the contribution pets and similar companion working animals bring to human health and people and communities that do value these animals, have much to gain.
