The possibility of corruption is within all humans. Throughout
history there have been many situations in which persons in authority have
used their power over people to gain their own advantages and glory. Such
figures including Stalin, and Hitler. In George Orwell's novella Animal
Farm, he presents an allegory in his work of the results of corruption to
draw parallels between the animal and human society. People don't always
see things for what they are and it really helps when things are presented
to them from a different perspective. Orwell uses this technique to show

someone asked what was going to happen to all that milk, Napoleon
receptively shrugged it off by saying: “ ‘ Never mind the milk, comrades!'
cried Napoleon, placing himself in front of the buckets. ‘That will be
attended to.' “ Napoleon is using a communist term when referring to the
other animals as comrades. A Utilitarian is one who believes all things
should be done with the greater good in mind. This is very effective
because it gives the other farm animals the illusion that Napoleon is
striving for the best interests of all but in reality he's only looking
after his own.

The most effective tactic that Napoleon used to further his
personal maxim was in making manipulation seem like an art form. At every
opportunity for advancement in his own self interest he manipulated the
other animals. By training the dogs to instill fear and silent acceptance,
