(Lecture) The Argument from Evil is a deductive argument drawn from aposteriori premises. This means the conclusion is drawn through the logical following of a set of premises; these premises appeal to information obtained through experience. There is an alleged inconsistency regarding three points which is present at the core of this argument. The propositions are; God is omnipotent, God is perfectly good, and the world contains Evil. If any two of these points are true, the third must be false (Lecture).
The argument begins by stating that an omnipotent being has no restrictions on what it is capable of. The next point exclaims that Good destroys evil to the highest extent that it can.
