Attendance Is Not Enough

Growing up in a small town, I received the benefits of having a family-like school system. Unfortunately, not everyone has the privilege of receiving an education with a small student-teacher ratio where the teacher can always be called on to assist you. There are many students that have trouble learning for different reasons, and they could really use the attention of a teacher at all times. However, always having a teacher there for a student is not realistic for every school. Although there are various other ways to help students learn, I do not believe schools are trying their best to help accommodate these students.

to be hard or need vigorous work; they could be an overall assessment of what was taught during the year just to see where each student is at. After the tests are graded, the counselors and principals could work together to place students with the same academic abilities in classrooms together. Yes, this may take time and dedication, but schools should do what is best for the students. Having students with the same abilities in classrooms together could help tremendously with learning. Teachers could base each class on how fast or slow the students learn. Also, since everyone is on the same pace, there won’t be some students getting behind too much because they do not understand as well as others.
Once the students are grouped together based on academic ability, they can be placed in classrooms with their peers that are on the same level. However, it will not be to their benefit to be placed in a classroom with an abundance of other students. If a child has a harder time learning ...
