It started when a friend of mine, Ned Townley, was accused of murder. One night at a party him and Daniel, Sir William of Wyndesore’s page, got into a fight about Mary. Ned Townley was thrown out of the party and later that night Daniel was found dead; however, Ned Townley was found innocent because Mistress Perrers told the court he was with Mary, her maid.

I had a bad feeling about the journey mainly because I knew there would be fighting and I had only one eye and a lot of scars but I was afraid because many soldiers come back with lost limbs or sometimes even worse. I love my Lucie and I didn’t want to lose anything.
WE followed a long, windy trail and had troubles finding good places to stay the nights. Rest and good food was important for our journey because many of the men were sore from riding most of the day.
