Bishenol A

Bisphenol A (BPA), is a major component in the making of hard plastics, and also is found in the epoxy resin liners of food and drink cans. BPA is used in the production of many products, such as baby bottles, DVDs, CDs, and many more products.

Bisphenol A(BPA) has been associated with several detrimental health issues. BPA is known for affecting the way in which the human body’s hormones behave. BPA, is linked to such things as Reproductive disorders, by affecting egg maturation. Heart disease and diabetes in adults has also been linked to exposure to BPA. Personally, I feel that the use of Bishpenol A (BPA) should be banned completely. I feel that until there is a zero probability of any health issues linked to Bisphenol A (BPA), there should be a ban on it. It makes me upset to think that I could possibly be putting toxins inside my children and putting their health at risk because this substance is used in the lining of canned goods. I have recently began purchasing as many frozen vegetables as I can. By doing this I am lowering myself and my family from the effects of Bisphenol A(BPA). However, Bisphenol A is used in other items and I can only hope that the FDA is correct with their believe that exposure to Bisphenol A in low amounts is not harmful.
