The development in which I have chosen to present to the class is Body Armor. I have chosen this topic because it has had a profound affect on the world and is one of the oldest innovations around today. Armor was first used when man first had violent confrontations on a large scale, or wars. The results from war were often horrendous and far too many lives were lost. The need was seen for protection. That answer was armor, it first originated as shields of wood, hide, or bone. In later times, the shields showed many flaws, many of the shields were not maneuverable enough to be highly effective.
