of that, it was really difficult to decide on a single novel that I had found interesting. But, "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone" is a novel that had caught my attraction in a special manner, and it still has its appeal to me like before. the Mirror of Erised in one of Hogwarts' many secret rooms. In the mirror he sees his parents. Dumbledore catches Harry at the mirror and explains that the mirror shows you your heart's desire.

They figure out that Flamel is an alchemist and the only person in the world to have the Sorcerer's Stone, which can provide immortality. They decide the Stone must be what was hidden at Gringotts and is now being guarded by Dumbledore. During detention, Harry realizes that Voldemort is trying to return and that he's the one killing unicorns.

They suspect that Snape is after the stone, to aid Voldemort. They try to retrieve the Stone, through various obstacles, but finds Quirrel instead ...
