Queen's Bench Division: This is the biggest of the three divisions. It deals with contract and tort cases where the amount claimed is over Pound100,000, though it can hear smaller claims where there is an important point of law. Cases are normally tried by a single judge, but there is a right to jury trial for fraud, libel, slander, malicious prosecution or false imprisonment cases. A jury is very rarely used.
