Did you know, that according to the National Education Association, “It is estimated that 160,000 students miss school each day because of the fear of being bullied”. Students are bullied everyday all around the world, more often than what people would really expect. At school bullies destroy their fellow students self esteem, while theirs rise high. While bullying seems almost impossible to avoid, it is very important for everyone to be aware of the situation. From the research I have done, I plan on informing you about the dangers and effects bullying has on someone, the different types of bullying, and reasons why people feel the need to bully in the first place.

in the situation, when really the person being bullied is better off talking to someone about it. Another example is irrational thinking. Irrational thinking includes any negative thought towards themselves, or other people. This usually occurs when a person is being bullied to the point where they think there is no other option, and they usually make a fast choice without actually thinking about the outcome of the situation. The situation usually leads to suicide, or hurting anyone who gets in their way.

Next, I am going to discuss some of the different types of bullying. One of types of bullying is verbal bullying. Verbal bullying is anything from name-calling and making hateful remarks, to threatening someone, or their property. Verbal bullying is ranked the top type of bullying to be reported.
