Cacao is a tropical evergreen tree that is grown for its seeds. Its seeds are called Cocoa beans are processed into Cocoa powder Cocoa butter and chocolate. Wel use chocolate in a lot of things hot chocolate, candy, cakes, ice cream, and other more delicious foods. So what would happen if we didn't have cacao seeds that would make Cocoa that help us make all this chocolate foods than be but it have any more of these delicious foods anymore. The Latin name for cocoa is Theobroma which means “food for the gods”. The word chocolate comes from the Aztec word “xocolatl” which means better water. The cacao trees are found in South America Mexico and Central America.

The cacao tree has a flower that is the size of a nickel and the midge is one of the only small insects to get it way in the center.
