Employing even a cursory examination of The Communist Manifesto, and knowing about feminism in a general way, one can clearly see, in a philosophical sense, how Marxism and feminism might - and perhaps already did - mesh their struggles in commonality. Indeed, the two movements have similar goals and passions - the need to break from the past and its unfairness with reference to class and social structure, and the urge to bring fairness to those hitherto left out of the pecking order - and parallel mountains to climb in the sense of the difficulty to implement institutional change.
