Can Intelligence Be Measured

Intelligence really has a broad definition and is thought of differently by about each certain individual. It is not really possible to judge someone by giving him or her an IQ test to see if they can do well on it.

day of the test and this certainly affects the outcome of the test. Well if you do badly on it you will just be thought of as stupid and it is not really you're own fault. Normal standardized test get predictable results around the academic standpoint of intelligence, but should not be held to tell weather the person is intelligent or not. The only real thing that the IQ test tests is reading comprehension, vocabulary, and spatial relations. The test should really be based on a variety of traits.
Standardized tests can also hurt a person's self esteem in some cases. If results are lower than expected, their expectations of themselves may also lower. I have seen many cases like this in my high school thought my four years.
