Alan Keyes is currently a presidential candidate for the 2000 election and is attempting to gain the Republican Party nomination. This man is turning the heads of a number of educated political followers. His fundamentally conservative stances, his remarkable ability to articulate his point, and his racial heritage all contribute to catching people’s attention and making them think, even if they don’t agree with his position.

Keyes was also the “Assistant Secretary of State, overseeing our participation in the whole UN and international organizations system, and was also briefly part of the National Security Council staff” (1). During this time, he met his wife while posting in India in the Foreign Service. Together, they have three children, two boys and a girl.
Keyes has continued to maintain a traditionally conservative stance on many issues in his campaign. He bases these viewpoints on what he calls his “Core Belief Based on Unalienable Rights”.
