For the first syllogism presented, it could be argued that it is logically fallacious. Even if women generally prefer males of high status, the fact that Celestina is a woman does not mean that she generally goes along with her genderā€™s preference, or even that she is heterosexual. On an even more basic level, however, the founding presumptive statement is a stereotype, based in culture. One could argue that if Celestina herself possesses high status, she does not need a man to confer such status upon her.
