Child Abuse

No child should ever grow up thinking that abuse or neglect is a form of love. Child abuse is the physical, sexual, emotional mistreatment, or neglect of a child or children (Haley, Stein, page 54). It shouldn't hut to be a child. There are four major types of abuse- neglect, physical abuse, emotional abuse, and sexual abuse. Physical abuse involves physical aggression directed at a child by an adult. Sexual abuse is a form of child abuse in which an adult or older adolescent abuses a child for sexual stimulation.
