Although definitions may vary, child labour means work that is done by children under the age of 15 or 14 which restricts or damages a child's physical, emotional, intellectual, social and spiritual growth. They work hard to take care of their family, and are taken advantage of shamelessly. So why is this issue occurring all over the world? Child labour is caused by a variety of global issues. Poverty: Families need every member of the family to work in order to survive. Without the children working, they would not be able to afford basic living necessities such as food, water, clothing and shelter. Although most parents would prefer their children to be in school, this is not a luxury they can invest in. Which brings me to the second cause; Lack of school facilities.
