Over 1 million children were killed during the Holocaust. They were tortured, murdered, and often fell ill with diseases. When a child would end up in the Death Camps, they were often killed on the spot.
The most horrid part of the killing was the torture, Germans would use pressure chambers and drugs, and the children would also freeze to death. One Nazi, Josef Mengele, was well known for the torture of children. He was very interested in twins. Mengele would draw sketches of the twins; he later would use these to compare them.
