Clean Up
As I drive down my neighborhood I cannot understand how the citizens of El Paso can allow so much trash to linger on our streets. I am that weird person who will pick up trash that is just thrown on the street by a litterer. I go for walks in my neighborhood, and I have seen some disgusting trash that I know should not be on the street. I go to city parks, and I see how people just leave their trash behind. Some dog owners even let their dogs poop on the city park’s grass and do not bother to pick it up and dispose of it properly. The city provides plastic poop baggies for pet owners to use. I have seen epidermal needles used by drug users left there on the grass, and dog poop throughout the park and playground. I live in a new subdivision, and behind my home is an empty lot, well somewhat empty because people have emptied their trash there. They do not care how disgusting they are making our little city look! I have volunteered to go out and clean up El Paso, but from what I have seen unfortunately not many people care to do that kind of labor. I get grossed out to go near the downtown area simply because of how dirty the people from that vicinity have it. I am not prejudice against poverty, I am prejudice against litterers and people who do not care enough to keep our city clean.
I ask myself from time to time, why is El Paso full of trash? Our city needs to improve the way our streets look, because everywhere one goes, there is unnecessary and unhealthy trash on the streets. Every part of El Paso, whether it is the Eastside, Lower Valley, Westside, Northeast, or ...

can do to help with keeping El Paso clean, but it would sure make a huge difference if they began an ordinance of some sort. El Paso is a small city; it should not be very hard to make an effort to clean up this mess.
Apparently when people are given parole or probation, most are required to do community service as part of their release. That is where the city can mandate an ordinance requiring every parolee or probationer who is of physical and mental ability, to serve his community service with a cleaning crew with different members that work six days a week.
