As Americans we rely too much on technology within cars. We are quickly evolving into an economy where soon you won't even need to do anything put punch in on a gps where you want to go and the car will take you there. All the technological tools in cars make for a more distracted driver, causing more accident prone drivers. Drivers are now paying more for convenience features than the safety features which keep you and your passengers alive.

Americans are more willing to pay for convenience features rather than safety features. Fifty-five percent of Americans who polled said they would rather drive a state of the art car with technological upgrades than an old one without.
