Many people define the word “success” as being rich, which means having a great amount of money and owning valuable materials. Nowadays, this definition of success is thought of as the “classic” definition because there is more to success than just being wealthy or popular. It is forgotten that success is only awarded to those who have worked for it and those who deserve it because of the commitment that was put into something that has been accomplished. It has also been mistaken that success is easily obtainable from others. The meaning of success is the ambition and hard work that is involved in achieving something, and therefore, is not as easy to gain as it sounds.

because each person knows that he or she worked hard throughout the semester: staying up late, completing assignments, and studying for tests in order to receive a good grade in the class. On the other hand, sometimes people may “cheat” in a way to receive good grades. For instance, someone might ask a friend to do an assignment for her because her friend had taken the same class during the previous semester, or someone might “reuse” someone else’s paper to turn in for a grade. These people may never be caught and might refer to this as a success because a good grade was received by cheating, but these people should feel guilty instead of successful because someone else’s work had been used and did not work for it themselves.
