he is considered to be wise only when he has attained a certain amount of age. Wisdom is a quality that is in fact bestowed on a person by the society due to his superior experience and intelligence. The best example is the olden village systems where a top level executive had the presence of elderly persons who could take important decisions. Even though the younger generation could have been more intelligent and knowledgeable, the amount of maturity that comes with aging is absent in them. Hence they were never considered for the post.

Now, considering the fact as to why wisdom is important both for the person and the society, superior wisdom is a guiding light for the society.
