In more recent years however, corporate America has changed significantly and with those changes came the need to do things differently. Today workers do not expect to stay with one company for the duration of their career, and instead make several moves before retiring. Because this change occurred in recent years the nation now has two different types of workers in its midst. The younger and older workers approach their work lives differently and the results will make an interesting study in sociology.

Workers of the older generation have been raised with the belief that if they treat a company right and give their heart and soul to their careers they will be handsomely rewarded in the end with a generous pension plan and a gold watch. While this was the case for many generations it has not been this way for almost four decades.
