abstract: Finite element analysis done using ABAQUS, a computer program will ensue in a quicker and effective calculation of the vibrational frequency and displacement of a structure with and without a load, but is challenged by the accuracy of the results. A simple approach of validating the results by using experimental method and analytical method showed the results had discrepancies compared to that of the ones obtained when the analysis was done using ABAQUS. This was the ...

for simple constructions. Moreover, simple constructions can be analyzed using all these three methods in an adept manner, thus facilitating the validation of the results obtained by ABAQUS.
At the front end of things, however, lies the need to create a simple structure to be analyzed using experiments, formulae and ABAQUS. The most well-known approach is using a beam that is used for constructing bridges or buildings. The process is understandably expensive and inaccessible considering the availability of the equipment require for the analysis.
A process that overcomes these limitations is mentioned here. A semi-rigid wire can be considered as a 2D circular beam and hence placing the loads at the required nodes. A structural analysis is then conducted using the three methods and results are compared with each other in order to show the validation or accuracy and any discrepancies.

the videos can be seen in FIGURES 2,3,4 and 5.The dotted line in FIGURE 5 shows the path of the wire when it vibrates. This was clearly visible when the videos of 500 fps were played using a video player on the computer. It was not possible to capture a picture of the path. Hence, a dotted line was used to show its path.
