Fairy tales teach children morals or lessons usually by example. They teach the difference between good and evil, and that life can be very unfair, but however, one can find happiness regardless of their circumstances. The very first Grimm Brother's stories, more popularly known as the Disney fairytales, were originally intended to be read by adults. However when they found out these stories were being told to children they began to alter their versions in some areas, keeping minor gory details.
