Division and Classification On Class and Power

In the past classification has perhaps been used too often as a tool of division and negative allocations of power. Certainly, class and color have been social tools of oppression in the past. The time however has come to realize that oppression can become liberation by using the very same tools in a more constructive way. Indeed, classification can be applied to persons who have distinguished themselves not only as fighters of freedom, but also as representatives of liberation and empowerment.

not only themselves empowered, but use their experiences to again empower and teach others. This affects both the black and the white community, in that black people work to empower black people, and also use their position to educate white persons regarding the position of blacks in society, and their struggle for empowerment.
In this way the two groups - white people empowering blacks, and black people empowering blacks as well as educating white people - serve as examples of classification according to a positive, empowering role. As a society, we are moving towards a more enlightened, tolerant age. Our tendency to divide and classify should therefore be modified towards tolerance rather than division in terms of classification.
