Dream

"Dear Pinocchio"
I watch as you stare, can't help blink
then it's gone
Like lightening that strikes
to be there, then be gone
I can't help to think of what we used to be
But then I remember
what split you and me
The fake laugh, the fake smile
O how could I not see?
To be blind to be tied
to the creature you had come to be
Between us the strings that were nothing but snares
Sent me plummeting and tumbling
Into devilish affairs
I once had a dream
now indeed, to be freed
You by my side
and the apple of my eye
Mountains bearing founts of rubies big and small
But you, an impurity
bearing deep within it all
O Pinocchio dear Pinocchio
my pride and my tide
I bid you ...
