Over the years drones have been more in use than ever. This generation depends on technology a lot more than before. Drones have made a big impact in the US.
What are drones? They are aircraft either controlled by pilots from the ground. There are a lot of different sizes from small to large ones. The palm size drones (the black hornet) it looks like a toy helicopter. The black hornet can weigh up to only 0.56 ounces (live science contributor). The larger drone is called X-47B and it can weigh up to 14,000pounds (USA today). In 2012 the black hornet cast up to 20 million. There are many benefits of using drones; one of the main benefits is saving lives. Some drone can locate injured victims and assess ongoing threats without risking the safety of rescue teams or first responders (USA today). Drones can also be helpful for searching for lost children by proving tactical surveillance and suspect tracking. Drones have been helping the police by find missing people and carrying out rescues. Border patrol also use drones, they have the largest amount of UAVs for domestic surveillance, searching for illegal immigrants and drug smugglers (USA today).
Drones are helping the US improved in so many ways by saving lives and by finding missing people. Technology has improved within the years making life a bit easier.
