who took a little bit extra time understanding the concepts or sometimes I needed a little bit more practice then other individuals. As a child this can be very embarrassing and hard to deal with at times. At first even my parents had a hard time dealing with it, they were always trying to be understanding but it wasn’t easy for them to say the least. Fortunately I had some teachers that were very helpful and caring. Those were the teachers who put in their own time and effort to make sure that I was just as successful as every other student in that classroom. Furthermore, they made sure that I was given that opportunity to do so; they made sure I was not cut short of that even though I was learning at a different pace then other children. But on the other hand there were some teachers that almost made it seem like it was a burden on them because they had someone who learned a different way and took a little bit longer.
