Again, from a utilitarian perspective, Shokun has a responsibility as a company to maximize its profits for the greatest possible good, to the shareholders in the company, to the steel-buying American public, and also to its workers as a collective entity, rather than simply focusing on the thousand or so workers in jeopardy of losing their livelihoods at the plant in question.
