Freedom is a state in which an individual is able to live without any restraints, though at times obstacles may arise that prevents this. What seems to many people as just a thrown around seven-letter word actually represents everything life is. Life's goal is to achieve true personal happiness, a feeling that only comes when an individual is free.

soldiers have died protecting. Every day they lace up their boots and step foot in battle zones in order to maintain our freedom. America is the land of the free for a reason. Our population and government value freedom so much that anyone or anything who threatens it is destroyed. We are lucky that we live in such a free country, and not one where a dictatorship tells citizens what clothes to wear and how many children to have. Freedom makes the United States of America great.

Freedom is everything we stand for. When we make mistakes, it gets taken away from us. Whether it is house arrest, jail, or even prison, we are forced to learn mistakes by being placed in a situation where we are confined to limits we're not used to. Freedom is taken for granted sometimes. People don't realize just how blessed they are. If the inmates on death row could go back in time and not commit the crimes they did, they most likely would.
