For my film report I watched the movie Gangs of New York. This film was released in the year 2002 and the director was Martin Scorsese. This is one of the best films I’ve ever watched thanks to the wonderful acting. The actors in this film are very good. Some of these names are very popular. These names include Leonardo DiCaprio, Daniel Day Lewis, Cameron Diaz, Jim Broadbent, Liam Neeson, and many more. This film is not based off a true story, but some of the events in the movie really did happen.

and fear. One day priest’s son returns to the five points from a boarding school and seeks revenge on Cutting for killing his father. As he hides his true identity he becomes very close to Cutting. He becomes his assistant and slowly gets closer and closer to revenge. While all this Is happening Amsterdam, the priest’s son, is getting laid and making friends. Finally Cutting finds out who Amsterdam really is. They go at each other for a while. Finally Amsterdam builds a clan like the old dead rabbits. They fight the natives but are interrupted by riots and the US army. Finally Amsterdam kills Cutting and gets his revenge.
The characters in this movie weren’t based on real people. However some of the events depicted are real. These events that were depicted were done so very well and accurately. The locations used in this film were depicted very realistically considering they had to go back in time quite a ways. New York was exactly the way they made it look in the 1840’s. All of ...
