The Native Americans, especially those of the South, and Central Americas have been attributed with many mathematic concepts, geometric designs, and even astrological calendars, which at times have proven accurate. That statement may bring up thoughts of the Mayan Calendar, which predicted the end of the world in 2012, but this is not the only calendar or date that is significant. Many attribute the concept of zero with The Mayans, and many of the primitive cultures actually developed their own number systems and even counting tools. of land. These designs have a considerable amount of mystery and intrigue in them, including speculations of their significance, how they were made, and what, if any, were their use.
Describing the geoglyphs with words, does not give them justice, but if it were to be compared to a more recognizable image, one could compare them to crop circles. These designs, however, are far larger than any known crop circle and most other agricultural designs known to man. Some of the most familiar images are the hummingbird, which has a beak of 150 feet, extending 305 feet long total, the spider, the monkey and many more, mostly of animals, but some are abstract shapes and images. While the images are so colossal that they can bee seen by satellites, they can also be viewed from the surrounding hilltops. The fact of their size alone is incredible, but what makes them even more impressive, is their accuracy and detail.
