The masses rip the anti-Eurasia messages and decorate the streets with anti-Eastasia media. The public trusts Big Brother and believe that Eastasia is the enemy because it is the only message that is socially accepted. They lose trust in their memory and senses; they disregarded their memory and came to believe Oceania was always at war with Eurasia. Big brother is the only voice in the culture space to trust, distorting the individual’s interpretation of reality and ability to form independent ideas and an individual identity.
