The name of the diamond comes from the Greek meaning "invincible". It is a natural mineral composed of carbon, considered the most valuable gemstone and the hardest natural material.

Diamond is the crystalline form of carbon, which originates from extreme heat and pressure, crystallizing in the cubic system. Its crystals are in the form of granular masses, compact or rounded, often in octahedrons and dodecahedrons, rarely in cubes.
