This controversial statement is one that has been brought up for years. Because all is such a strong word, people set out to find an exception. This is foolish because everything has an exception. The real question is whether or not it is true for most things. If it has too many exceptions, then the statement is not true.
One’s interpretation of the quote depends mostly on the definition of “evil” that is used. A dictionary defines evil as morally bad or wrong; wicked; harmful or injurious. Words that come to mind when thinking of evil are: violence, bad, and horrible.

While the more fortunate person may not be thinking about it, the less fortunate person feels inferior. The backgrounds of the people are so different that they just cannot comprehend how the other’s life works. If this barrier was not there, a friendship could have easily blossomed.
Greed is something that seems to come along wherever money is. Some people just cannot get enough money and they do not care who they hurt as they try to obtain it. This corruption because of money is a form of evil because it seriously hurts people. Not all people with money are greedy so evil does not necessarily come along with money.
