Helen Keller

Helen Keller is an extraordinary woman. She lost her hearing and vision at the age of 19 months. She had a hard time with it until she was 7 years old. At the point in time she never gave up.

Helen was born in 1880 in Alabama. She was happy and healthy baby when she was born but then at 19 months she became ill. They believe she had scarlet fever. From that illness she became blind and deaf. Her family was an upper scaled family, but she had little real understanding of the world around her. I’m not sure why her parents did not help her sooner and try getting her help. But in 1887 that’s when she got the help that would change her life.
