Henry V

Hierarchy ruled during the medieval times. It was in these medieval times, the early 1400’s, that King Henry V took his place on the Royal Throne. It was a time when no things were placed higher than God, the Cardinal Virtues, and the Chivalric code. In Shakespeare’s Henry V, 2.2.1-190, these virtues and values are put to the test when three of King Henry’s most trusted knights were found guilty of high treason. In this, the King’s faith was said to be poisoned, as such betrayal was not to be expected by the King.
