Through experience I have learned that uniforms are important to both serving and being a hostess. By comparing the two, you will see the difference between the two. When you are a hostess you are usually the first stop of a customer, and because of this your presentation to the customer is very important. This gives the hostess the task of presenting themselves as clean, friendly and welcoming. In presenting yourself in this light you may get freedom on what attire you can wear. This means the hostess usually has the decision of what they are going to wear as long as it looks presentable.
