Power gives a person the ability to act. How do gender, race, and class affect the power to act? Do these make a difference in having the power to act or having the power to do as one pleases? Does it make a difference what color you are, what gender, what class, and how does disabilities affect this power to act? It makes a difference in what you are and what you get to do.
If a girl wants to be president of the United States, she has a long battle ahead of her to do it. All presidents have been white males. A female may some day be president but it will take a long battle to be one. The same is true with color, class, and disabilities. ...

If you look at Columbine, the students were deeply upset by the trouble that happened there. However, years later these popular kids boast to the media that they will continue to keep the "misfits" in place as they always have. These kids know how much they hurt someone else but they do not care. Many students commit suicide because of bullying every year.
The student that decides to go to a certain college will find that it is not as easy as they think. They will be judged on grades, economic ability to pay, race, and class. Many colleges are required so many African-American, Hispanic, or Native Americans enrolled or they lose grant money. If a white girl with high grades tries to get into a college where they need an African-American student, she will be rejected. This is reverse discrimination but it happens.
