Morals are ideas and concepts that we learn from society; we use these morals to judge what is wrong and right in life. Most people in society believe that lying is immoral, as we are taught at a young age that we should never lie. We know that lying is wrong because of our morals, that society taught us. In the book, The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain, the main character, Huck, has a different moral code from the moral code of society. Because Huck’s moral standard is different from society’s morals, he does not believe that lying is always immoral. Huck believes that lying is morally sound as long as he lies for a righteous cause.
