The Koran has become the basis of the Kingdom’s monarch constitution. As part of the constitution, the population has been forced to live under this regime. The Kingdom contains a population of 28 million people; from these 28 million human beings, 83% are being abused in some sort of way due to judicial punishments for not following the Islamic guidelines (quoted in Yemen: Over half of married women under 15). The Middle East is an area where violation punishments have become the regular system of consequences to minor crimes. Punishments for violations of religion and lifestyle have extremely increased over the years. In a New York Times article, Robert F. For them, a woman that was raped can be considered adultery: holding the woman responsible for having physical contact with someone who was not her legitimate husband.
