Impact Of W.E.B. Dubois’ Reconstruction Era


Few African Americans in United States history have made the impact that W.E.B. DuBois made. He was the first black man t get a doctorate from Harvard, he was a man who commanded the audience of millions through is life as a journalist and he was one of the few influential African Americans who denounced his citizenship out of anger regarding the way AA's were being treated. Dubois wrote many works that were used as guidance for his fellow African Americans but few were as telling as the Reconstruction Era. In this piece of work Dubois provides a quote that today, says it all, when it comes to the history of southern AA"s following the abolishment of slavery.
