Imperialists have offered better and useful circumstances to the natives. The British were a powerful nation who invaded India, a weaker nation. Kamala Markandaya explains the beneficial circumstances that were offered to the natives in her book Nectar in Sieve. British imperialists not only brought useful circumstances such as jobs, they also brought education to the natives of India. Raja Ram Mohan Roy explains in his letter to British how their education would help India's natives in many different ways. He wrote since British are "gentlemen of talents and education" should instruct the natives in different types of education courses (37-41). A native receiving new education is an example of a useful circumstance offered from because they are becoming more advanced people.
