In the 1970’s the Nixon administrated started “the war on drugs”. The presidential administration enforced prohibition practices such as: drug seizures, drug crop eradication and arrests of drug users and dealers. These practiced continued into the twenty first century and are still prevalent today. In turn, the debate is often made up of social stigmas created by governmental policies and campaigns.
