This is important because Pakistan wonā€™t let India trade through their borders because of hostilities between the two countries. The president of Afghanistan had expressed concerns that Pakistan was blocking trade between India and Afghanistan. Talks between the two countries were scheduled to happen but were canceled soon after. They are also trying to increase the economic power of Afghanistan with the US and other countries. India has also made a trading system to overcome Pakistan by sailing into the Chahabar port for trade instead of shipping it through Pakistan. This could potentially be very effective in the region as if the trade is successful in bringing the economy of Afghanistan up, then the amount of violence and war in the country will be on decline because there will be more resources for the people and that would pay the way for a strong central government to follow and overall better the nation.
